London Wine Fair 2016

London Wine Fair.
Like suited and booted honey bees
the hoards surround the lair
Traders in the world of wine congregate with vacant stares.
Excitement as the hour arrives they
open up the doors
And 300 merchants offer there wares over two delicious floors.
From across the globe the offerings of white and red , some pink.
The fizz and popping corks as tasting just begins.
To swallow or to spit the day may be cut short
So glasses swirled and noses cocked to air what they've been taught.
Thousands flock to labels and to grapes they too desire.
To taste the best compare the rest of this it's hard to tire.
The characters and ladies fine , the blush on noses rouge.
The posh and down to earth mixture it's a relaxed and cheerful mood.
And as the day goes on and the masses get a little tipsy.
The wine still flows the lunches ate and the ladies get quite friskey.
The vintners, Growers, the merchants ,
no time to rest or ponder
Chat about the days business or maybe have a wander.
The guests and traders from around the globe we nod in smiling hello
So many places wine is made so many journeys one could go.
So as the day comes to an end knees and voices creak and croak
The visitors go get their anoraks or maybe silken cloaks
But one thing is for sure the same will happen tomorrow.
But if you swallowed and didn't spit you morning may bring sweet sorrow.
