Why did I fall in love with you?

I thought I had forgotten

But then when I went back all those years. 

I remember your fantastic bottom.

But that was before I knew the girl 

Just 17 and first day at work.

Oh yeah I thought she will do

Shame I was such a jerk.

Then persistence paid and we went out

for a drink and a bit of dancing.

And 36 years later on

here we are still romancing.

If I don't say I love you enough

it doesn't mean I don't. 

If we don't kiss and canoodle enough

it doesn't mean we won't. 

But one look will remind me of the days 

when love was new.

And today it is your birthday and as always

I LOVE YOU.
